Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 26, 2026
Hey there. We know nobody actually enjoys reading these, so we've tried to keep it straightforward. This is the agreement between you and Clipvo when you use our service. If something feels off or you have questions, just reach out.
What Clipvo does
Clipvo is a tool that helps you add captions to your short-form videos. You upload a video, we transcribe it using AI, and you get to edit, style, and export it with captions burned in. That's the core of it.
We use AI for transcription (it's pretty good, but not perfect — you might need to fix a word here and there). Everything runs in your browser where possible, which means your videos stay on your device during editing.
Your account
You can use Clipvo without an account for basic stuff, but to unlock the full experience (saved projects, paid plans, no watermarks), you'll need to sign up.
When you create an account, you're responsible for keeping it secure. Don't share your login with anyone. If you notice anything weird happening with your account, let us know immediately at support@clipvo.in.
Plans, billing, and payment
We offer a free tier (with limits and a watermark on exports) and paid plans (Creator and Studio) that give you more features and remove the watermark.
Here's how it works:
- Paid plans are billed monthly. Your card gets charged on the same day each month.
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings. No penalties, no hassle.
- If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period. We don't do partial refunds for unused time (more on refunds below).
- Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change, but we'll always give you advance notice if your plan's price is going up.
Payments are processed securely through Cashfree. We don't store your credit card info — that's all handled by them.
Your content
The videos and captions you create with Clipvo are yours. We don't own them, we don't sell them, and we don't use them for training or marketing without asking you first.
We do need permission to process your videos (transcribe them, render them, store projects temporarily) to make the service work. That's it. When you delete a project, it's gone from our servers.
One thing: please don't upload content you don't have the rights to. If you're using someone else's video or audio, make sure you're allowed to. We're not responsible if you get into legal trouble for using copyrighted stuff.
Fair use policy
Our "unlimited" features (on paid plans) are truly unlimited for normal use. But if you're doing something excessive — like running a server farm through our API or uploading thousands of videos per day — we might reach out to chat about it. We're pretty reasonable, but we do need to keep the service running smoothly for everyone.
Things you can't do
Pretty simple: don't use Clipvo for anything illegal, harmful, or abusive. This includes (but isn't limited to):
- Spreading malware or hacking our service
- Harassing people or posting hateful content
- Violating copyright or trademarks
- Scraping or reverse-engineering our code
- Reselling Clipvo access without our permission
If you do any of this stuff, we can suspend or terminate your account. We really don't want to do that, so just... don't.
Disclaimers (the legal bit)
Clipvo is provided "as is." We work hard to make it reliable and fast, but we can't guarantee it'll be perfect 100% of the time. Servers crash, AI models hiccup, browsers have bugs — that's just how software works.
We're not liable for any lost profits, data, or opportunities if something goes wrong. That sounds harsh, but it's standard for pretty much every web service out there.
If there's an issue, we'll do our best to fix it quickly. Just let us know what's up.
Changes to these terms
We might update these terms from time to time as Clipvo grows and changes. If we make big changes, we'll let you know by email or with a notification in the app. Smaller tweaks (like fixing typos or clarifying wording) we'll just update here.
If you keep using Clipvo after we update the terms, that means you're cool with the changes. If you're not, you can always cancel your account.
Canceling your account
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. No questions asked. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period, then your account will downgrade to the free tier (or fully close if you want).
We can also terminate accounts if someone's violating these terms, but we'll always try to reach out first unless it's something really egregious.

Thanks for reading this far. Seriously. Most people don't. We wrote it in plain English on purpose because we believe you deserve to know what you're agreeing to without needing a law degree. If there's anything we can make clearer, let us know.
